Maintenance Technician - 5th Shift (Night Shift)
Location: Mentor, OH
Schedule: 5th Shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Work: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- Off: Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain and repair vacuum furnaces, autoclaves, conveyors, wax presses, robotic cells, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential equipment issues before they impact production.
Automation & Technical Support
- Support maintenance and basic programming of robotic systems.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with production teams to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
Facility & Plant Support
- Perform maintenance tasks involving pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, soldering, and fabrication.
- Safely operate maintenance equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
- Assist with equipment repairs at supplier, customer, and company locations as needed.
- Support facility improvement, construction, and installation projects.
Safety & Compliance
- Handle hazardous materials and waste in accordance with company procedures and MSDS requirements.
- Follow all safety policies and contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and support 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Preferred
- Electrical degree, certification, or technical training.
- 3-5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing vacuum furnaces.
- Knowledge of robotic maintenance and programming.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, plumbing, pipe fitting, and soldering.
- Experience supporting manufacturing production equipment in a team-oriented environment.
