Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a maintenance technician for our LaGrange, GA facility. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, repair mechanical components, and replace parts on production equipment to ensure high uptime and quality output.

You will follow all safety policies, read schematics, and use precision measuring tools to identify and fix issues. Join a team focused on reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Ability to interpret documents such as procedures manuals, blue prints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges
• Basic understanding of systems, equipment and schematics
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Basic mathematical skills to perform calculations

Responsibilities

• Follow all work instructions and safety policies, including PPE and safety equipment
• Examine machine controls to install plate changeovers and start-up machines
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery
• Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to locate causes of problems
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts
• Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment
• Document and track changeover times and records
• Accomplish all work orders to improve safety, reduce downtime, and improve plant efficiency
• Follow all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout and 5S standards

• Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problem
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
• Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant
• Document and track changeover times and record
• Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency
• Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards and observes the operations to insure a safe work environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
• Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
