Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment. You will drive safety, quality, and reliability by coaching staff, directing root-cause analysis, and ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance programs.

You will manage daily/weekly schedules, coordinate parts and equipment procurement within budget, and work across departments to improve equipment availability and production performance.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of work experience in a manufacturing plant as a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician.
  • Experience with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls.
  • Ability to order parts and maintain inventory of maintenance-related material.
  • Proficiency in mechanical/electrical systems including Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps and Gear Boxes.
  • Experience with Automation and PLCs.

  • Lead and hold employees accountable in achieving maintenance goals and improve performance through coaching and feedback.
  • Participate in safety investigations as required.
  • Direct troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate remedial action.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment to improve production availability and reliability.
  • Execute daily and weekly work schedules to ensure on-time completion.
  • Analyze delay codes to identify challenges and reduce delays with available resources.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance compliance and proper repair history documentation.
  • Assist in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies within budget guidelines.
  • Use KPIs (PM compliance, schedule compliance) to improve maintenance execution.
  • Ensure policies, H&S programs and security guidelines are applied effectively.

Requirements
  • Three to five years of work experience in a manufacturing plant as a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician.
  • Knowledge and experience working with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls.
  • Able to use both a MIG welder, and ARC welder.
  • Able to order parts and maintain inventory of all maintenance-related material.
  • Ability to use a lathe, and milling machine considered an asset.
  • Advanced working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems and components; including, but not limited to, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission, Material Handling, Sensor, Transmitters, DC and AC circuits, Transformers, Power and Energy, Arc Flash
  • Working knowledge and experience on Automation; Industrial Process and Control system; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Application; Bulk Handling System
  • Working knowledge and experience on Facility Maintenance (Roof, Dock, plumbing) and Plant Equipment (Boiler, Air Compressors, Ammonia/Freon/Glycol Refrigeration, HVAC, Ventilation, Cooling Tower, Condenser, Backflow preventer, Sprinkler and Fire Extinguisher, Wastewater System, …)
  • Planning, scheduling & assigning ability while well experienced in defining priorities, required skills & resources.
  • Computer Savvy, hold practical knowledge on Microsoft Office.
  • Multitasked in a fast-paced environment with lots of changes in direction bases business requirement.
  • Being an example for others; being a Safety-Oriented Supervisor with a positive “can do attitude”.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other departments.
