Job summary

Smart Trades in St. George, UT, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Lumber Operations division.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on lumber processing equipment while working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a hands-on, indoor environment. Ideal candidates have experience in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical skills, and knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, facility, lumber, or equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on position that requires working mostly indoors around lumber processing equipment and industrial machinery. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including Southern Utah summer temperatures that often exceed 100°F, while following all safety and hydration protocols. Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs. is required.
