Job summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery, and acting as a liaison with vendors. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and repairing all mechanical equipment including Hilos
  • Maintaining all heating and cooling, systems, dust collections, and associated controls
  • Performing various tasks in carpentry, electrical, ventilation, etc
  • Executing a preventative maintenance program for all machinery and facilitating program execution
  • Coordinating work and materials with vendors/contract service personnel
  • Ensuring all seasonal equipment is maintained in a proactive manner
  • Supporting manufacturing needs in a timely and efficient manner to help ensure on-time delivery to customers
  • Support the continuous improvement culture through great interpersonal abilities, being a team player and displaying initiative.

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Valid drivers’ license
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with fellow employees
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks at one timeOrganizational skills
DESIRED SKILLS
  • Ability to read electrical wiring schematics
  • Experience performing maintenance on heavy woodworking machinery (CNC, lineal edgebander, etc)
  • Working knowledge of CNCs, edgebanders, and panel saws
  • High voltage troubleshooting and repair (110,220,208,277,480)
  • Low voltage DC troubleshooting and repair
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to drive an industrial fork lift (training is available)
