Job summary

Smart Trades in St. George, UT, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Lumber Operations division.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on lumber processing equipment while working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a hands-on, indoor environment. Ideal candidates have experience in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical skills, and knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

Experience in industrial, manufacturing, facility, lumber, or equipment maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong commitment to safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on lumber processing equipment and machinery
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Diagnose equipment issues and minimize downtime
Maintain conveyors, forklifts, production equipment, and facility systems
Complete work orders and maintenance records
Assist with equipment installations and facility improvement projects
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Respond to maintenance needs as they arise
