Job Description Summary

The Maintenance Technician provides support and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents, including quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention. The technician responds to service needs and helps deliver superior customer service.

Essential Job Duties

• Prepares apartments for move-in, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs.
• Responds promptly and professionally to resident requests.
• Possesses knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
• Maintains grounds, pools, common areas, and amenities for safety and cleanliness.
• May be required to respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating schedule.
• Reports maintenance concerns to the supervisor and performs scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Follows fair housing laws and participates in required training.
• Performs duties efficiently, maintains a professional appearance, and adheres to safety procedures.
• Maintains punctuality and reports any attendance issues.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Competencies

• Valid driver’s license, EPA 608 Type II, and CPO or local certification.
• Ability to read and understand manuals and instructions.
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret data.
• Problem-solving skills and common sense application.
• Proficiency in writing reports and following safety procedures.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or vocational training.
• At least 1 year of related experience.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The role involves working in an office environment, traveling between properties, and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 100 pounds, standing, walking, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
