Job summary

AIR Communities’ Mariner's Cove in San Diego, CA, seeks a Maintenance Technician to deliver top-notch service to residents using modern maintenance tech. Responsibilities include preparing apartments for move-ins, handling repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances, and supporting teammates.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Proficient in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day weeks (seasonal/community needs).
• A reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.
• Comfort with physical activity and moving heavy equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents and assist teammates.
• Follow AIR’s process for basic apartment turns to prepare units for new move-ins.
• Perform resident-requested repairs and routine maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances).
• Provide direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Assist with vendor quality and move-in/move-out inspections; adapt to community needs.
