Job summary

Kenco Group is seeking a Service Technician I to perform general maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and conveyors. The role supports Fleet Services across customers and vendors, with emphasis on safe operation and accurate records.

You will follow OEM specifications, create and process work orders, and communicate with Parts to ensure timely parts availability. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs and working with team members in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or tech school graduate.
• 0–2 years of mechanic experience; preferably with repair and maintenance of material handling, automated systems, and conveyors, or similar equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of equipment and systems.
• Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics.
• Self-motivated, self-directed, highly responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50lbs.
• Supply own mechanic technician hand tools.
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective repairs and preventive maintenance on MHE, batteries, automated systems and conveyors in accordance with site and OEM standards.
• Schedules Planned Maintenance (PM) of all Fleet Services Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, and keeps PM records updated.
• Executes PM procedures in accordance with OEM specs and maintains accurate preventive maintenance records.
• Creates and processes work orders accurately and efficiently in the maintenance management system.
• Troubleshoots engines, fuel systems, transmissions, automated systems, and conveyors using manuals and diagrams.
• Manages equipment condition and supports repair readiness by reporting damage and maintaining service/inventory records.
• Communicates with Parts team on parts and supplies needed to maintain equipment.
• Maintains parts inventory and repair records with accurate paperwork.
• Conducts tests of safety equipment to ensure OSHA and operational standards.
• Meets site KPI targets and interacts professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Adheres to 5S workplace organization principles to maintain clean, organized, and safe service areas.
• Supports the Kenco Operating System by identifying ways to work more safely, efficiently, and effectively.
