Job summary

ProAmpac - Beaverton Bag Plant is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Beaverton, Oregon facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain paper bag machinery and related systems, with a focus on preventive maintenance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include responding to work orders, coordinating with supervision on parts, and supporting facility improvements. A mechanical journeyman background or technical certificate is preferred, with flexibility for varied hours and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and welding.
• Ability to read manuals and diagrams.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work varied hours/days.
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, maintain and repair machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and observe operations for vibrations/noise.
• Set up and operate metalworking tools to repair parts.
• Follow safety rules and identify unsafe conditions.
• Respond to work orders and work independently or in a team.
• Assist supervisor with ordering parts and cost estimates.
