Gilder Search Group is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Indiana to join our maintenance team. This full-time role supports safe, efficient operations by maintaining and improving production equipment and facility systems.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and a basic understanding of electrical systems. Ability to work independently and prioritize safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes.
• Perform equipment adjustments, lubrication, and part replacements.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Electrical troubleshooting: identify faulty components and use a multimeter.
• Assist with basic electrical components and controls.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and basic electrical schematics.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks per established schedules.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Communicate issues and repairs to the maintenance team and operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document parts used.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
