Job summary

Filtrona is seeking a Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair production machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with ISO standards. The role requires following blueprints and engineering specs, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a production setting.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in industrial maintenance technology or equivalent experience, hands-on PLC control exposure, strong communication, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLC and industrial equipment controls.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• 1–3 years in production environments.
• Mechanical and electrical multi-craft experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production machinery.
• Disassemble equipment and repair/replace parts.
• Test machines after repairs to ensure completion.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance as required.
• Follow blueprints and engineering specifications during repairs.
• Clean work area after completing repairs.
• Ensure ISO9001, 14001 and EH&S compliance; follow safety policies and report concerns.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures and on-call duties.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
