Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical, basic electrical and control and instrument maintenance.

• Operates and reads data from devices supporting diagnostics and work activities.
• Operates machine tools and hand-powered tools as needed.
• Operates mobile and heavy equipment for maintenance tasks.

• Supports safety, reliability, productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Follows established procedures and safety practices.
• Maintains shop and plant area housekeeping.

Job Summary

Performs varied mechanical, basic electrical and basic control and instrument maintenance activities and other duties necessary to maintain the generation facility to which they are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs the mechanical and basic electrical and basic instrument and control troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, cleaning, inspecting and constructing of equipment and systems for the generation facility.
• Operates and/or obtains information from various mechanical and electrical devices used to support specific equipment diagnostics or work activities; gathers, interprets and logs data.
• Is proficient in the use of machine tools and various hand‑powered tools as job needs dictate.
• Operates mobile and heavy equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
• Performs various welding activities.
• Supports safety, plant reliability, productivity, and plant efficiency improvements by participating in various continuous improvement activities.
• Performs all work according to established procedures and safety practices.
• Performs various generating plant and shop area housekeeping functions.
• Performs other duties which are similar, related, or incidental to this position.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.

• Journey‑level experience in a mechanical trade.
• Must possess a valid state‑issued Journeyman card in one of the following trades: Journeyman Mechanic, Journeyman Millwright, Journeyman Maintenance Technician.
• Applicants must provide proof of their journeyman status during the hiring process.

Work Shift & Hours

Standard Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, start time at 5:00AM.
Overtime Opportunities: Voluntary overtime is frequently available to support station needs and project demands; however, overtime is strictly optional and not mandatory.

Pay Range

$54.01 – $56.22 per hour.
