Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC in Halethorpe, MD is hiring a General Maintenance Associate to operate and maintain a wide variety of mechanical tools and equipment on our production floor. The role focuses on routine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep systems running safely.

You will work Monday through Friday, 5:00am–1:30pm, and may perform driver duties as needed.

Qualifications

Prior experience using standard hand tools and specialty tools (pipe wrench, soldering/welding equipment).
3+ years of experience with mechanical troubleshooting preferred.
Valid state issued license is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Experience using electric tools (table saw, jigsaw, circular/miter saw).
Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain a wide variety of mechanical tools.
Perform routine operating functions and troubleshooting on all equipment.
Repair damaged equipment to good working order by applying mechanical knowledge.
Maintain production equipment to minimize downtime and meet standards.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools.
Set, calibrate, or adjust equipment to align with specifications.
Advise managers concerning major repairs or additions to building systems.
Paint surfaces as required following safety procedures.
