Job summary

LiDestri Foods in Rochester, NY, seeks a Mechanic/Electrician I to maintain and repair processing equipment. You will work on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and help ensure safety, quality and GMP adherence across production lines.

You will collaborate with a maintenance team and interact with production staff, applying strong troubleshooting skills and independent initiative to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer literacy for emails and online searches.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, repair, and maintain machinery including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and participate in uptime improvements.
• Diagnose electrical/mechanical malfunctions and document repairs.
• Coordinate with shifts to plan repairs and changes.
• Follow safety and SQF/food safety guidelines.
