Job summary

LiDestri Foods in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Mechanic/Electrician I to maintain production equipment and support safety and quality programs. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to work with maintenance teams and independently.

You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and assist with installations and upgrades on conveyors, pumps, and other plant machinery.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude for maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and procedures in English.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment including motors, controls, conveyors and pumps preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, repair, install and maintain machinery including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Assist in installations, upgrades and commissioning of new equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams and communicate status clearly.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and GMP standards.
