Job summary

ManpowerGroup's client in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a Maintenance Technician Mechanic to join the operations and support the maintenance department. The role focuses on preventative care, basic repairs, and collaboration with senior mechanics to handle more complex equipment.

Requirements include a High School diploma (preferred), at least one year in maintenance, ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• One year relevant maintenance experience.
• Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math, computer, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of machine repair, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, mill-wright, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, lubricants, or filters, following a set schedule.
• Conduct facility maintenance including replacing lightbulbs, painting, filters, and simple plumbing tasks.
• Inspect and perform basic maintenance and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment using manual and power tools.
• Partner with senior mechanics to repair more complex manufacturing or facility equipment.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment.

Our client, a leader in manufacturing and facility maintenance, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician Mechanicto join their team. As a Maintenance Technician Mechanic, you will be an essential part of the operations supporting the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Oak Ridge, TN

Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00

Shift: Weekend shift 6:00pm to 6:00am

What's the Job?
