Our client, a manufacturer of specialty mineral and chemical additives, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its News Castle, DE team. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues, and timely repairs to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include light fabrication and welding, with a focus on reducing downtime and identifying improvement opportunities for plant equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with strong math skills.
• Millwright experience and mechanical aptitude required.
• Forklift certification or experience preferred.
• Supply Chain Management or related field is a plus.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: News Castle, DE

Pay Range: $25-$30
Shift: M-F 7am-3:30pm

What’s the Job?

• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical problems. Observes machines in operation and uses diagnostic skills to locate and make repairs.
• Conducts equipment repairs in a timely manner to maintain operational efficiency.
• Performs light fabrication and welding as needed.
• Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipates and solves problems in a timely manner, and identifies opportunities for improvement.

What’s Needed?

• High school graduate or GED equivalent with strong math skills.
• Millwright experience
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Forklift Certified or experience.
• Supply Chain Management or a related field is a plus.
