Job summary

NOVO Health Services seeks a skilled maintenance technician to support its industrial healthcare laundry facilities. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, inspect equipment, and perform preventive maintenance, coordinating with supervisors and seniors as needed.

The role requires experience with industrial electricity, electronics, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and steam, plus the ability to read complex drawings.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent and two years formal training in a skilled trade. Experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Industrial electricity and electronics knowledge; PLC and interfacing.
• Hydraulics, pneumatics and steam system understanding.
• Ability to read complex machine and wiring drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components. Replace faulty switches and air valves.
• Visit areas to inspect equipment and assess maintenance needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance during production when possible; complete remaining during non-production hours.
• Respond to trouble calls; identify malfunctions and inform Supervisor.

We are an industrial healthcare laundry.

We provide bed linen, surgeon’s scrubs, towels, pillowcases, sheets, blankets and surgical linen to our hospital owners, medical clinics and nursing homes.

Job Duties:

• Trouble-shoot and repair a wide variety of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components, including changing faulty switches, air solenoid valves, air lines, and major machine components.
• Visit assigned areas of responsibility, inspect equipment and assess maintenance required.
• Review assigned Preventive Maintenance work. Perform those activities, which are possible during production. Complete remaining during non-production hours.
• Respond to trouble calls on assigned equipment. Identify mechanical, electrical, or electronic malfunctions and communicate them to the Supervisor.
• May be responsible for plant start up or shut down.
• Instruct mechanics in lower classifications in appropriate repair techniques
• Other tasks as assigned
