Albertsons Companies in Melrose Park, IL is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and service material handling equipment and building systems across the Melrose Park Complex. The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and proficient use of hand and power tools, with a focus on reliability and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate work-related equipment and tools (hand and power) including forklifts, man-lifts, pallet jacks and testing equipment.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to read labeling on hazardous materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair all material handling equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and electronic systems.
• Perform maintenance and repair functions in all facilities on the Melrose Park Complex including automated and mechanized material handling equipment (conveyors, cranes, balers, etc.), general building repairs (lights, plumbing, doors, etc.), grounds upkeep (pavement, fencing, parking areas, etc.) to include snowplow/removal and ice melt applications.
• Identify recyclable items and separate them as necessary (scrap metal/iron, all types of batteries, etc.).
• Have basic knowledge of the Fire Protection/Suppression systems operations in all Complex facilities.
