TRG Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hialeah, FL. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, inspections, and repairs across offices and common areas to ensure a positive resident experience.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of apartment maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry or HVAC, and holds an EPA or CFC certification. Strong communication skills and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of two (2) years hands-on apartment maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• EPA or CFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in maintenance of offices, including painting, carpet cleaning and general repairs.
• Hands-on maintenance of the property, including inspection, repair and general upkeep of offices and common areas.
• Install and repair electrical systems, components of machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and record findings in the maintenance log.
• On-call emergency service as required.
• Maintain grounds and keep areas free of trash and debris.
• Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of mechanical equipment (water heaters, HVAC, etc.).
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and replace wiring or components as needed.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines (relays, switches, motors) and adjust sensors.

In fact, it is one of the most important aspects of the resident experience. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares or assists in preparing maintenance of office in regard to painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping, etc.
• Responsible for the hands‑on maintenance of the property, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of offices and other interior/exterior areas.
• Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Performs various preventative maintenance functions and records findings in maintenance log.
• Performs on‑call emergency service as required.
• Works along with general maintenance staff in maintaining grounds and keeping them free of trash and debris.
• Monitors the maintenance and keep‑up of all mechanical equipment on the community including, but not limited to, water heaters, HVAC units, etc.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• A minimum of two (2) years hands‑on apartments maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• An EPA or CFC certification.
