Job summary

PrimeMark Management is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician/Manager to join our property management team in New York. This role combines hands-on maintenance with supervision of a small team and close coordination with management.

You will perform repairs, oversee schedules, inspect work, and respond to tenant needs, while ensuring safety and quality across residential properties. Immediate start for a full-time on-site role with regular hours from 8 to 5.

Qualifications

• Extensive maintenance and repair experience required.
• Experience supervising or leading a maintenance team preferred.
• Ability to manage workers while performing hands-on tasks.
• Reliable, organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Experience with residential/multifamily buildings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee daily building maintenance and repairs.
• Manage and coordinate maintenance technicians and cleaning staff.
• Ensure schedules for maintenance, cleaning, and trash are followed.
• Inspect work and uphold quality standards.
• Assign and follow up on work orders.
• Respond to building and tenant maintenance issues.
• Report progress to management daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee daily building maintenance and repairs.
• Handle general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and troubleshooting.
• Manage and coordinate maintenance technicians and cleaning/trash removal staff.
• Make sure daily maintenance, cleaning, and trash schedules are completed properly.
• Inspect completed work and ensure quality standards are met.
• Assign and follow up on work orders.
• Purchase/pick up materials when necessary.
• Respond to building and tenant maintenance issues.
• Keep properties clean, safe, and properly maintained.
• Report daily progress and outstanding issues to management.

Requirements

• Strong maintenance and repair experience.
• Previous supervisory or team‑management experience preferred.
• Ability to manage workers while also working hands‑on.
• Responsible, organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Experience maintaining residential/multifamily buildings is a strong plus.
