Job summary

Weinstein Properties seeks a Maintenance Technician - Make Ready to join our Cedar Park community. You’ll complete turn/make-ready work on vacant apartments, assist with maintenance requests, and help maintain grounds and amenities to keep the property looking its best.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in apartment maintenance, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team. EPA certification is a plus, with on-the-job training available.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• EPA certification not required if willing to train toward certification.
• Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting/repair experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete turn/make ready process of vacant apartments
• Assist team with maintenance work orders as needed
• Work with the team to maintain property grounds on a daily basis
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

What We Offer Our Maintenance Technicians

• Pay: starting at $20/hour | $21/hour (if you are or when you become EPA certified)
• On-call pay:
• $150/week (calls or no calls)
• Additional $150 per holiday on-call

Maintenance Technician - Make Ready Schedule

• Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

What You’ll Be Doing as a Maintenance Technician

• Complete turn/make ready process of vacant apartments
• Assist team with maintenance work orders as needed
• Work with the team to maintain property grounds on a daily basis
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

What We’re Looking For In Our Maintenance Technicians

• At least 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• No HVACcertification required if you are willing to train and work towards getting certified
• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and hands-on HVAC troubleshooting / repair experience is a plus!
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks

Physical & Technical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician

• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Background check required
