Weinstein Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Make Ready to join our team at our Charlotte/Lake Norman communities. This full‑time role offers competitive pay, on‑call compensation, quarterly bonuses, PTO, and a 401(k) with company match.

Responsibilities include turning vacant units, assisting with work orders, and keeping the grounds and amenities well‑maintained. HVAC certification is a plus but not required initially.

Qualifications

• 1 year of apartment/residential maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) and HVAC troubleshooting experience are a plus.
• No HVAC certification required if you are willing to train and pursue certification.
• Background check required.

• Complete turn/make‑ready of vacant apartments.

Maintenance Technician - Make Ready Schedule

• Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

What You’ll Be Doing as a Maintenance Technician

• Complete turn/make ready process of vacant apartments
• Assist team with maintenance work orders as neededWork with the team to maintain property grounds on a daily basis
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

What We’re Looking For In Our Maintenance Technicians

• At least 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• No HVACcertification required if you are willing to train and work towards getting certified
• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and hands‑on HVAC troubleshooting / repair experience is a plus!
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and prioritizing tasks

Physical & Technical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician

• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year‑round
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Background check required
