Synerfac is seeking a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician for our client in Chesapeake, VA. Our client is one of the largest independently owned motor and pump shops in the U.S., focusing on rebuilding and remanufacturing rotating electrical and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Machine Shop equipment repair & maintenance.
2. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections.
3. Diagnose issues with machinery and perform repairs as needed.
4. Assist with cleanliness of the facility.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with maintenance of machine shop equipment.
• Experience repairing and overhauling machine shop machine tools, such as Engine Lathes, Manual Mills, Vertical Turret Lathes, Horizontal Boring Mills, Surface Grinders.
• Experience with industrial machine tool maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical concepts.
• Basic electrical knowledge, capable of diagnosing electrical issues.
• Basic knowledge of electric motors and controls.
• Experience with mechanical disassembly and reassembly of machines and gearboxes.
