Job summary

WeatherTech Direct is hiring a Maintenance Technician - Level 2 to service and repair equipment on Injection Molding and Thermoforming lines. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and PM tasks to keep production running smoothly.

The position offers competitive pay starting at $28/hour with shift differentials of $1.00 for 2nd shift and $1.50 for 3rd shift, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for pay increases.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent with demonstrated experience in Industrial Maintenance.
• Current Level 1 Maintenance Technician with completed courses (EEAS 113, IMT 123, TMT 102, EEAS 223, EEAS 225, EEAS 240) with grade C or better.
• Basic math, measuring, and computer skills required.
• Team player with good attendance and reliable work ethic.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English work orders/instructions.
• Knowledge of maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or robotics systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as Plastic Injection Molding, Thermoforming, and Automation.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• OSHA 10 training knowledge or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools to maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and robotics components.
• Carry out assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks.
• Communicate maintenance priorities and updates with shifts.
• Perform daily maintenance checks and complete tasks.

• Train team members on various functions to boost efficiency.

2ndand 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician - Level 2

WeatherTech Direct is seeking a well-qualified Maintenance Technician- Level 2to perform maintenance and repairs on machines used on the Injection Molding and Thermoforming production process.

• Additional compensation: $1.00 per hour 2nd shift differential, $1.50 per hour 3rd shift differential

As a Maintenance Technician - Level 2, you will

• Operate various hand and power tools to perform maintenance work and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or robotics components efficiently and in order of priority
• Carry out assigned Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks
• Communicate with prior/oncoming shifts regarding any maintenance priorities and status updates
• Conduct daily maintenance checks and complete daily maintenance tasks
• Operate a computer to maintain data on maintenance and completed repairs
• Train new and existing team members on different functions of the work area to ensure all can perform all tasks properly; share knowledge and best practices to help aid efficiency and productivity
• Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition while cleaning and maintaining equipment as needed
• Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualified Candidates will

• Associates Degree or equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology and/or the equivalent with demonstrated experience in the Industrial Maintenance field.
• Current Level 1 Maintenance Technician that has continued on with their education and has Certificate of Completions in the following courses with a grade C or better (curriculum derived from the Joliet Junior College) and/or equivalent job experience:
  • EEAS 113: Industrial Controls 2
  • IMT 123: Maintenance Management
  • TMT 102: Technical Mathematics
  • EEAS 223 - Industrial Circuits-Advanced Programmable Controllers
  • EEAS 225 - Automated Systems
  • EEAS 240 - Motors and Drives
• Basic math, measuring, and computer skills required
• Team player with a good attitude and strong work ethic; must be dependable with excellent attendance
• Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal and written work orders/instructions in English
• Demonstrate knowledge of performing maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or robotics systems
• Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Plastic Injection Molding, Thermoforming, and Automation
• Ability to read machinery manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they pertain to manufacturing and/or completion of OSHA 10 Hours training course
• High degree of attention and detail required to prevent accidents, injuries, and quality issues
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
