Job summary

The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, part of Averill Hospitality, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team on-site. This role focuses on upkeep, repairs, and general maintenance to keep guest and resident areas safe, functional and inviting.

Responsibilities include inspections, responding to requests, carpentry, plumbing and electrical tasks, and coordinating with contractors. A high school diploma and 2+ years in maintenance are preferred; HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience in property or building maintenance preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and maintenance manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work on-call and outside normal hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of common areas and systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Complete carpentry, drywall, painting and basic plumbing/electrical work.
• Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, fitness centers and pools.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and company policies.
• Keep accurate records of tasks, repairs, inventory and work orders.
