Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Level I)
Job Summary: Level I Maintenance Technicians assist in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various equipment. They participate in a wide range of duties including preventive, emergency, cosmetic, and routine maintenance to ensure safety, compliance, and efficient operation of rides, equipment, and facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist senior Maintenance Technicians in daily pre-opening inspections of all rides.
- Maintain accurate inspection records for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checks, as well as preventative maintenance.
- Support inspections, preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and respond to unplanned maintenance needs for rides, machinery, and facilities.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Experience:
- Studying in a maintenance-related field is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have held a Maintenance Technician position for at least one year or equivalent experience, or demonstrate a strong work ethic and attendance record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 75 lbs regularly; heavier weights may be required at times.
- Frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead.
- Standing and walking for extended periods on various surfaces.
- Work at heights up to 140 feet and in potentially hazardous conditions.
- Varying work hours, including long shifts up to 18 hours in some cases.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and temperatures.
- Handling chemicals and cleaning agents safely.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends.
- Basic repair and maintenance skills.
- Willingness to learn troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Physical agility and manual dexterity.
- Honesty, accountability, and accuracy in work.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
