Job summary

Lunds & Byerlys is hiring a Full Time Maintenance Technician Level B to perform preventive and ongoing maintenance at our retail locations in Minnesota. The role involves electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and machine servicing with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Basic industrial electricity course or equivalent experience.
• Valid Minnesota Driver's License; ability to obtain boiler permit is desired.
• Four+ years’ experience in commercial/industrial equipment and building repairs; knowledge of building controls.
• Experience using energy management systems (BAS).
• Lunds & Byerlys competencies: action oriented, communicates effectively, customer focus, instills trust.
• Other: service-oriented, able to read manuals and schematics, strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and machine servicing at retail locations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment safely following codes.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and manuals; report discrepancies.
• Prioritize work orders to minimize downtime and optimize shop workflow.
• Work primarily with a team yet able to complete tasks independently.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety guidelines.
