Qualifications

  • Prior maintenance experience required. Preferably industrial or machine related.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance with the Production Manager, Supervisors, Operators and other managers across the site.
  • Diagnose problems and perform timely repairs to minimize impact on processing and production lines.
  • Adhere to food-grade standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain spare parts inventory for machinery and supplies.
  • Perform high-level PM tasks on packaging lines, roasters, burners and grinders.
  • Attend daily turnover meetings and report maintenance activities and issues.
  • Diagnose issues, plan repairs, and execute repairs promptly.
  • Record maintenance activities in CMMS and related systems.
  • Receive formal training in pneumatic, electrical, mechanical fields and safety concepts.

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician I at BRCC, you will be responsible for the higher-level maintenance and repair for our coffee roasters, grinding equipment, packaging equipment, general facilities maintenance, and special projects. This entails coordinating with the Production Manager, Supervisors, Operators and other managers across the site to schedule maintenance and repairs as needed. Ability to identify and diagnose problems and make needed repairs in a timely manner to reduce the impact to processing, production, and warehouse activities. Adhere to food grade standards during all maintenance activities.

Role Responsibilities
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices and purpose.
  • Experience with basic power and hand tools.
  • Basic technical knowledge and ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical diagrams, blueprints, parts diagrams, and other technical documents.
  • Develop and maintain spare parts inventory for machinery as well as supplies and equipment for maintenance and repair operations.
  • Perform high level technical PM task on packaging lines, roasters, burners and grinders.
  • Attend daily turnover meetings and report on maintenance activities, recent repairs, or areas of concern.
  • Ability to diagnose, develop a plan to repair, and execute repairs in a timely manner.
  • Basic computer skills & knowledge of CMMS systems to record, file, and report maintenance operations and repairs.
  • Formal training in pneumatic, electrical, mechanical or experience in these fields.
  • Formal training in safety and safety concepts as it relates to maintenance is necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC controls and industrial electrical highly recommended.
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to multitask with attention to detail.
  • Capable of meeting strict time sensitive deadlines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to changing demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be accountable, self-motivated to learn, and uphold company values.
  • Able to participate in a two man lift with objects weighing up to 75lbs.
Education and Skill Requirements
  • High school level education or equivalent.
  • Prior maintenance experience required. Preferably industrial or machine related.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience preferred.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days may vary. This position may require long hours and may require weekend work. This employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear (e.g. customers, vendors, other employees). The employee is occasionally required to sit (e.g. computer work). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (e.g. reading reports), distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
