Job summary

IFCO SYSTEMS US, LLC in McDonough, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician Lead for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 2:30pm–11pm) with overtime as needed. You will oversee wash processes and maximize machine efficiency, scheduling preventive maintenance with the service center under guidance from the General or Maintenance Manager.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, PLC and electrical maintenance, and experience with high-volume conveyors, welding, pipework, and boiler systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in general maintenance machine operations and facility maintenance.
• 5 years of experience in PLC and advanced electrical maintenance/repair.
• Experience with high-volume conveying operations, water systems, large washers, motors, electrical, PLC controls.
• Experience with welding, pipe installation/repair, and heating/boiler units.

Responsibilities

• Support corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance at the local facility.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling to reduce downtime while maintaining safety.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and provide technical support to maintenance staff.
• Control, monitor and maintain inventory of parts and tools.
• Assist GM by providing equipment analysis and recommended actions for efficient operation.
• Direct and support maintenance staff to install, maintain and repair equipment; enforce housekeeping.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Train and develop maintenance personnel.

Maintenance Technician Lead

Full Time Technical McDonough, GA 605, McDonough, GA, US

Salary Range: $39.00 To $41.00 Hourly

*** This role requires shift flexibility to meet the needs of the business. The current opening is for 2nd shift, with a basic schedule of Monday through Friday, 2:30pm to 11pm, with additional hours for mandatory overtime or additional production scheduling. ***

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for ensuring operational excellence of all wash processes, maximizing machine efficiency, and scheduling planned machine maintenance within service center. Partner with General or Maintenance Manager to offer guidance and oversight of local maintenance staff to ensure effective maintenance and operation of plant and wash equipment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance program at local facility
• Coordination of maintenance scheduling to reduce downtime while maintaining safe work practices
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and provide technical support to facility maintenance personnel
• Control, monitor and maintain inventory of parts and tools used by the department and the designated area
• Support General Manager by providing equipment analysis and recommended course of action for efficient and cost-effective machine operation
• Direct and support maintenance employees to install, maintain and repair equipment as well as following good housekeeping practices.
• Manage and direct multiple projects simultaneously
• Train and develop maintenance personnel

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in general maintenance machine operations, facility maintenance, and maintenance for high volume conveying systems, etc.
• 5 years of experience in PLC and advanced electrical operational maintenance/repair
• Experience in/around: high volume conveying operations, water systems, large volume washers, motors, electrical, PLC controls
• Previous experience with the following: welding, pipe installation/ repair, and heating/ boiler units.
• Previous experience with general facility maintenance functions including doors, office, forklifts, etc.

SKILLS

• Demonstrated aptitude in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic and pneumatic applications, background in automation is a plus.
• Able to handle maintain and overcome large complex integration system challenges.
• Process development experience and proven record in operational success in balancing cost, quality, and performance
• Ability to develop and manage project plans
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules/hours
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle high volume operational requirements
• Production/warehouse environment
• Excellent on time decision making skills.
