Job summary

PPS-HPS is seeking a Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift to support high-volume production and facility equipment. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machines, read manuals, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires electro-mechanical and electrical experience, some PLC, welding/HVAC is a plus, and the ability to work overtime and weekends. This is a full-time manufacturing position based in Ohio.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of electro-mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Manufacturing experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical skills.
  • Some PLC experience and HVAC knowledge.
  • Able to read equipment manuals and work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during service.
  • Perform simple machinist duties.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
  • Diagnose problems, replace parts, and test/adjust.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
  • Perform plumbing and carpentry tasks as needed.
  • Use hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations and report to supervision.
  • Comply with safety rules and keep work areas clean.

Maintenance Technician

2nd shift

We are looking for team player who has a strong work-ethic, an emphasis on quality, and believes in exceeding our customers' expectations. We process and pack a large amount of product for high-end and discount chain stores, as well as food service and manufacturing accounts.


Our Maintenance Team is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.


Essential Functions


  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

This is a full-time position and team members need to have a flexible schedule, the ability to work overtime and weekends, and some 3rd shift.


Required Experience



  • 3+ years of Elctro-Mechanical and Electrical Experience

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
