Job summary

Portlandchristian is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair production equipment, support facility operations, and improve reliability across the plant. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and maintain accurate maintenance records while keeping work areas clean, safe, and organized.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and effective communication as you support multiple production lines and adapt to daily priorities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years of maintenance experience in any industry preferred.
Technical training or certification in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Identify and address safety concerns related to equipment and work areas.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
Monitor equipment performance and identify ways to reduce downtime.
Investigate recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
