Job summary

Center for Developmentally Disabled in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time role with Monday–Friday hours and rotating on-call weekends. You will help maintain 30+ homes, vehicles, and facilities to ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals receiving services.

The job offers mileage reimbursement, paid onboarding/training, and opportunities to expand maintenance skills within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 1 year facilities maintenance experience (2+ years or technical training preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.
• Valid MO Class E or KS Class C driver's license; local travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and safety systems.
• Perform floor care, drywall repairs, painting, and grounds upkeep.
• Complete vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
• Track supplies, order equipment, and manage invoices.
• Respond to emergency work orders and occasional after-hours calls.
