Job summary

Conifer Realty is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Clinton Township, NJ to keep affordable communities safe and well maintained. You’ll perform routine and preventative maintenance across painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning.

This full‑time role includes Monday–Friday schedules with on‑call rotation; strong communication, reliability, and basic computer skills are valued. We offer competitive pay, holidays, PTO, health/dental/vision, retirement plans, and ongoing

Qualifications

2+ years of apartment/residential maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring).
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover overtime.
Basic computer or mobile-app skills for work orders, timekeeping, and training.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning.
Care for the grounds through landscaping, snow/ice removal, and seasonal upkeep.
Respond with urgency to work orders and rotate for emergency on-call coverage (within 30 minutes).
Follow safety, property, and inspection standards with precision.
Work closely with peers and residents, showing empathy and pride in every repair.
