Conifer Realty LLC in Clinton Township, NJ is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our affordable housing communities. The role covers routine and preventative maintenance including painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning, with a focus on keeping residents safe and comfortable.

You should have 2+ years in apartment or facilities maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50 lbs (up to 100 lbs), and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment/residential/facilities maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for overtime/rotation.
• Basic computer/mobile-app skills for work orders/timekeeping.
• Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance (painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, cleaning).
• Care for the grounds and maintain curb appeal (landscaping, snow/ice removal, seasonal upkeep).
• Respond with urgency to work orders and participate in on-call rotation (respond within 30 minutes).
• Follow safety, property, and inspection standards with precision.
• Collaborate with peers and residents, showing empathy and pride in repairs.

What You’ll Bring as a Maintenance Technician

You’re skilled, dependable, and care about doing the job right. You bring:

• 2+ years of apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring; HVAC experience a plus).
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover overtime or nearby communities when needed.
• Basic computer or mobile-app skills for work orders, timekeeping, and training (we'll train you!).
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills, a plus that helps connect with our residents!

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.
