Job summary

Dal-Tile is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV to join our manufacturing team in the United States. The role performs complex mechanical duties and electrical trades, troubleshoots PLCs, and maintains equipment for production efficiency.

You will design and program PLCs, install computer setups, and ensure safe, compliant operation while contributing to cost reductions through process improvements and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of electrical code; Journeyman license preferred
• Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot PLCs using handheld device or laptop.
• Design and redesign program and software for PLCs and operator panels.
• Install, maintain or repair equipment for energy distribution in manufacturing.
• Read blueprints, drawings, layouts to locate and diagnose issues.
• Lead process improvements and execute improvement plans.

• Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Maintenance TechnicianIVto join our TEAM! As the Maintenance Technician we need someone who canmake adjustments tomachines and equipment for proper operation.Primary ObjectivePerforms complex mechanical duties and a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, repair and/or distribution of electrical energy. Installs, maintains and replaces electronic programmable controllers in a manufacturing environment.Major Function and ScopeTrouble shoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller) usinghand helddevice or laptop.Design and redesign program and software (PLCs, operator panels,etc).Format hard drives and install to the computers (Computer Setup) and PC applicationInstalls,maintainsor repairs equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electrical energy in a manufacturing environment.Locates and diagnosis trouble in electrical systems or equipment working fromblue prints, drawings, layouts or other specifications.Works standard computations related to load requirements of wiring and/or electrical equipment.Knowledge of Serial port communication systems, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and process control instrumentation devices (thermocouples, pressure switches,etc).Knowledgeof Servomotors and drive units.Continuously reviewing their respective area for ideas and thoughts that will drive productivity and reduce costs within the organization and be able to professionally speak to their solution for improvement.Process improvement (Plan and submit process improvements and execute the plan)Uses a variety of electricians tools including measuring and testing instruments.Process improvement (Plan and submit process improvements and execute the plan)Leads projects and completes them successfully, returning equipment to production operating safely and efficiently.Keeps work area safe,cleanand organized.Performs other related duties as required.Experience and Knowledge RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical code. Journeyman electrical license preferred.Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.4 or moreyears industrial maintenance experience and 2 years industrial electrical experience. Formal PCL training preferred.Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)CompetenciesAbility to read blueprints. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs. Ability to score 80% or better on the Industrial Maintenance exam. Ability to read and understand procedures in English. Ability to test motors and electrical circuits using a voltmeter and amp meter. In depth knowledge of LGV equipment and operation.Other Pertinent Job InformationWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
