Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is hiring a maintenance technician to support our U.S. tile and stone manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot electrical systems, program VFDs, and service PLCs while performing routine preventative maintenance and basic machining tasks.

Your role includes welding, plumbing repairs, and forklift-related upkeep in a fast-paced plant environment. We offer a competitive salary, a multi-stage sign-on bonus totaling 10,000 USD, and benefits such as

Qualifications

• Advanced electrical wiring trouble shooting and short circuit protection knowledge.
• Knowledge of VFDs and programming them.
• Basic PLCs layout and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of process control instrumentation and common PC applications.
• Dismantles machines and performs repairs.
• Performs necessary machine adjustments for proper operation.
• Performs scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
• Basic machine shop knowledge (lathe, end mill, drill press).
• Performs skilled welding (stick, MIG) and plumbing repairs.
• Maintenance of powered industrial trucks and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Follows safety procedures and keeps area safe and organized.

Responsibilities

• Keeps equipment running by performing regular preventive maintenance.
• Dismantles, repairs, and adjusts machinery to restore proper operation.
• Troubleshoots hydraulic/pneumatic systems and electrical failures.
• Operates basic machine shop equipment for minor fabrication tasks.
• Informs supervisor of equipment status and potential issues.
• Complies with standard operating procedures and safety rules.

Sign-On Bonus Structure

$2,000 after 90 days

$3,000 after 12 months

$5,000 at 18 months

• Advanced electrical wiring trouble shooting and short circuit proection system knowledge.
• Knowledge of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and programming them.
• Basic PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller) layout and trouble shoot.
• Knowledge of process control instrumentation and familiarity with the common PC application.
• Dismantles machines and performs repairs.
• Makes necessary machine adjustments for proper operation.
• Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
• Basic machine shop knowledge (using Lathes, End mills, Drill press machines)
• Performs skilled welding (stick, mig, etc) and plumbing repairs.
• Performs maintenance of powered industrial trucks including mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Informs supervisor of operational status of equipment and notifies of any problem areas.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.
