Job summary

Rehrig Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Erie plastic injection molding facility. You will ensure equipment reliability and maintain critical systems, performing preventive maintenance and rapid repairs to minimize downtime.

You will work with the maintenance and production teams to uphold safety standards, improve processes, and support engineering-led improvement projects across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or technical training a plus).
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic system repair.
• Knowledge of injection molding, pneumatic conveying, chilled water systems, and grinders.
• Skilled in using a multimeter for electrical troubleshooting.
• Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus skills: ability to read hydraulic schematics, welding, machining, and lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Care & Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair injection molding machines, extrusion equipment, compressors, HVAC, fire suppression systems, and more.
• Preventive Maintenance: Complete scheduled tasks across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems to minimize downtime.
• Process Improvement: Support engineering-led projects, kaizen events, and continuous improvement efforts that reduce scrap and increase efficiency.
• Inventory & Facilities: Help manage spare parts inventory, assist with building repairs, and coordinate with contractors on system upgrades.
• Emergency Response: Act fast when issues arise, performing timely troubleshooting and repairs to keep production moving.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with Production and Maintenance Supervisors to keep operations safe, smooth, and efficient.
