KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that the plant facilities and equipment are kept in optimal working condition and safety standards are upheld.

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Ensures the functionality and safety of facility equipment by developing and following a thorough preventive maintenance program for all machinery, which will encompass, but is not limited to:

  • Operating and testing automated lines, systems, and equipment;
  • Restoring, repairing, overhauling, or replacing faulty or non-functional components and parts.
  • Enhances the performance and reliability of facility systems and related equipment by identifying, proposing, and executing modifications, expansions, and additions.
  • Organizes forklift maintenance and guarantees that daily forklift inspections are conducted.
  • Promotes a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to established standards and procedures, as well as complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Expands job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and reviewing technical literature.
  • Must possess self-motivation, and be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Recognizes the significance of fulfilling commitments.
  • Availability for on-call duty during evenings and weekends may be necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Able to troubleshoot electronics, pneumatic and mechanical systems and make necessary repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Some carpentry skills preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Technical understanding required.
  • Machinery maintenance experience required.
  • Welding and electrical experience.
  • Able to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to make limited and independent judgments based on given alternatives.
  • Able to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to interpret an assorted number of tasks or instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an indoor manufacturing environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high and requires the use of hearing protection. The employee is required to wear PPE. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The work environment is structured, and lunches and breaks are regulated.
