Description

The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

This is an on-site role, reporting from one of The Collier Companies’ community offices in Tampa, which offers contemporary museums, a vibrant foodie culture, and the Florida Aquarium. Tampa is home to Busch Gardens and the Tampa Theatre, and is ranked in the top ten best places to live in Florida.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the Maintenance Team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Company’s standards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, and making repairs in areas such as HVAC (if certified), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural, and appliances.

Qualifications

Your Skills – Show Us What You Got:

• Universal EPA certification is a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician preferred.
• Strong work ethic and eager-to-learn attitude.
• Apartment housing experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented in completing work orders.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and emergency on-call rotation.
• Excellent customer service record.
• Basic tools and ability to pass maintenance test.
• Reliable transportation and valid in-state driver’s license.

This is a full-time position with emergency on-call commitments and overtime during the Summer/Fall turn season.
