Job summary

Opti Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III for our client in Tualatin, OR. This hands-on role supports a precision manufacturing environment, focusing on preventative maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, fabrication, and facility improvements.

You will read blueprints and schematics, work with MIG/TIG welders and machine tools, and assist with new equipment installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Previous maintenance and repair experience
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to plan, organize, and complete projects with limited direction
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Welding and machine shop experience preferred
• Forklift experience, or willingness to become certified
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned machinery and systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
• Adjust machine parameters and perform minor equipment rewiring
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings
• Identify replacement parts and vendor sources
• Fabricate specialty parts with supervision
• Operate MIG/TIG welders, manual mills, and lathes
• Assist with new equipment installations and facility layout changes
• Support special maintenance and improvement projects
• Help train lower-level maintenance technicians
• Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures
• Follow all safety and operational procedures
