Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 to keep production running safely and efficiently across North America. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, motors, and control systems, read schematics, and mentor teammates. This role offers competitive pay, a $5,000 sign-on bonus after 30 days, and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Qualified as a Maintenance Technician II or equivalent experience.
• 4-7 years of industrial multi-craft maintenance experience.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, heating, and cooling systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Install, maintain, and modify electrical systems, conduit, controls, and power distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, motors, and industrial control systems.
• Repair and maintain pumps, gearboxes, compressors, blowers, valves, reducers, seals, and rotating equipment.
• Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs.
• Participate in RCCA and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support plant reliability and machine uptime goals.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve equipment performance, safety, and efficiency.
• Train and mentor teammates on equipment and maintenance best practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment status effectively.
• Support daily housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized work area.
