Job summary

Johns Manville in Scottsboro, AL seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and non-routine maintenance on production and facility equipment, supporting safety, productivity, and machine uptime.

You will read schematics, implement preventive maintenance, train coworkers, and contribute to RCCA teams, with emphasis on electrical, instrumentation, and controls. Minimal travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical electrical/instrumentation/controls experience in an industrial setting.
• Hands-on experience programming PLCs and troubleshooting.
• Strong RCCA and asset reliability expertise.
• Knowledge of SAP software.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental procedures and policies.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Develop and modify preventive maintenance plans for equipment.
• Train coworkers on plant systems.
• Troubleshoot using electrical and mechanical schematics; install/modify equipment.
