Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support plant equipment with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The role emphasizes safe operation and root cause analysis to mitigate repeat issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of maintenance experience; PIT certification is a plus. Ability to lift 50 lbs, work overtime, and operate in a noisy production floor is expected.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent GED is required and 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
Ability to obtain PIT certification.
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems to your current level of training.

Responsibilities

Follows all SAFETY guidelines and procedures established at facility.
Perform maintenance and repair of plant equipment including sprinkler systems, dock doors, electrical, HVAC and production equipment.
Complete planned work from weekly downtime and scheduled PM maintenance.
Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate repeat failures.
Work with maintenance personnel and outside contractors to keep equipment operational.
