Job summary

This onsite Maintenance Technician III / Electro Mechanical Technician role is based in Alexandria, VA. You will support maintenance and reliability of production equipment, with emphasis on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, preventive maintenance, and rapid breakdown response.

You will read schematics, interpret manuals, and work with minimal supervision while prioritizing safety and uptime. Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III / Electro Mechanical Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of production and manufacturing equipment at our Alexandria, VA facility.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown response, equipment repair, and maintaining reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on production and manufacturing equipment.
  

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and related equipment.
  

• Diagnose and repair electrical components including starters, fuses, contacts, relays, and frequency drives/VFDs.
  

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  

• Troubleshoot mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform root-cause/breakdown analysis.
  

• Repair, adjust, and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime.
  

• Read and apply equipment manuals, technical documentation, and manufacturer instructions.
  

• Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before failures occur.
  

• Work independently with limited supervision while following established safety and maintenance procedures.
  

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to appropriate team members.
  

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and plant operations.
  

Required Qualifications
