Job summary

BayCare is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician for Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, FL. The position covers maintenance, operation and repair of facilities, equipment and systems across hospital environments.

You will read blueprints, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and may install equipment as needed. Responsibilities include coordinating trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry, with flexibility for varied shifts and possible travel to other BCHS

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Preferred technical in related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate and repair buildings, equipment, and systems across facilities.
• May install equipment as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics; perform general mechanical repairs.
• Provide guidance to others and manage project-specific tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance across trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration and more.
• Cover hospital/clinic environments and adapt to varying shifts and potential travel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Details:

• Location: Winter Haven Hospital - Winter Haven, Florida
• Status: Full-time
• Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm
• Days: Monday - Friday / Every other Weekend

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment and systems throughout the assigned facilities.
• May also be required to install equipment.
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and perform general mechanical repairs. Responsible for providing indirect guidance to others and to provide project specific management to others.
• Responsible to perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to cover all trades including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, painting,
• carpentry and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.
• Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily
• within the craft lines.
• May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Required: High School or Equivalent

Preferred: Technical in a related field

Licenses

Required: FL Driver's License

Experience

Required: 3 years maintenance

Preferred: 2 year hospital-related
