Job summary

The Davis Companies Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a contract-to-hire role in Wilmington, MA. The position runs Monday through Friday with 7:00am–3:30pm or 8:00am–5:00pm shifts and pays $41–$46 per hour.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing furnace systems, calibrations, compressed air system health, hazardous waste compliance, and maintaining PM tasks in CMMS. Candidates need a strong industrial maintenance background and a track record of owning maintenance

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; associate degree in engineering technology or related field preferred.
• Journeyman or technical school training completed or equivalent proficiency preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or precision production.
• Demonstrated advancement in responsibility, including ownership of maintenance programs or systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnose and repair of complex furnace system failures including electrical, thermocouple, atmosphere control, and high-temp components.
• Assist calibration program: develop schedules, calibrations, audits, and ensure traceability across process equipment.
• Serve as technical resource for compressed air system health including predictive monitoring, major overhauls, system efficiency assessment, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain hazardous waste compliance program with labeling, timelines, inspection logs, and adherence to MassDEP and RCRA; ensure LO TO and confined space safety.
• Review, author, and improve PM task lists in CMMS; validate work order quality and maintain records for asset health reporting.

Maintenance Technician - Contract to Hire

A leading company in the digital transformation of orthodontics is looking for a Maintenance Technician inWilmington, MA.

Shift of the Maintenance Technician:

M-F 1st shift 7am-3:30pm or 8am-5pm

Pay Rate of the Maintenance Technician:

$41-$46/hr

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

• Lead diagnosis and repair of complex furnace system failures including electrical, thermocouple, atmosphere control, and high-temperature mechanical components.
• Assist in ownership of calibration program. Develop and maintain calibration schedules, perform calibrations, audit documentation, and ensure traceability across all process equipment.
• Serve as technical resource for compressed air system health including predictive monitoring, major overhauls, system efficiency assessment, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain hazardous waste compliance program. Oversee container labeling, accumulation timelines, inspection logs, full MassDEP and RCRA regulatory adherence, and ensure team compliance with all LOTO and confined space entry procedures across all shifts.
• Review, author, and continuously improve PM task lists in CMMS. Validate work order completion quality, close documentation gaps, and maintain accurate records to support management reporting on asset health, downtime, and PM completion rates.

Requirements of the Maintenance Technician:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in engineering technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
• Completion of a state-accredited journeyman or technical school program, or equivalent formal training with demonstrated field proficiency, strongly preferred.
• 5+ or more years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or precision production environment.
• Demonstrated advancement in responsibility over career, including ownership of maintenance programs or systems, not simply execution of assigned tasks.
