Job summary

Chewy is seeking a Maintenance Tech III at our Fulfillment Center in Pittston, PA. This role handles preventative maintenance of the facility conveyance system, fixes and maintains warehouse equipment, rack changes, and tasks like plumbing, carpentry, and metal fabrication.

You’ll also perform battery changes and work at heights. Our team emphasizes safety, health, and culture, with opportunities for career growth and a climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years technical experience in Distribution or Manufacturing environment.
• 480/3 phase electrical experience with low voltage AC/DC experience.
• Experience with building systems such as fire suppression, air compressors, power distribution.
• Understanding of PLCs and ladder logic.
• Conveyor experience and powered industrial truck experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is operating accurately and safely.
• Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks according to schedule.
• Perform inspections of conveyor systems, air systems, shipping, packing equipment and building systems.
• Daily tasks may include plumbing, painting, rack repair, cleaning, general carpentry and metal fabrication.
• Change batteries and repair batteries and chargers as needed.
• Tackle problems and fix conveyor and packaging systems.
• Manage repair orders and parts usage records.
• Work in various seasonal climates.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Tech III at our Fulfillment Center in Pittston, PA. This position is responsible for Preventative Maintenance of the facility conveyance system, fixing, repairing and maintaining warehouse equipment, rack repair & changes, working at heights, performing battery changes, housekeeping, plumbing, metal fabrication and carpentry. This position covers a wide variety of facilities, maintenance, and utilities requirements across a large fulfillment center!

• Ability to instruct and mentor others and to work nights, weekends and overtime
