Job summary

Chewy is seeking a Maintenance Technician III at our Fulfillment Center in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform preventative maintenance on the facility conveyance system and warehouse equipment while handling rack repairs, battery work, and carpentry tasks.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing or distribution maintenance, 480V electrical experience, and PLC knowledge. Overtime, night/weekend work, and a safety-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a distribution or manufacturing maintenance role.
• Experience with 480V electrical systems and low voltage AC/DC.
• Knowledge of PLCs and ladder logic.
• Conveyor systems and packaging equipment experience preferred.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment operates safely and reliably.
• Perform preventive and general maintenance per schedule.
• Inspect conveyors, air systems, shipping, packing equipment, and building systems.
• Carry out plumbing, painting, rack repair, carpentry, and metal fabrication as needed.
• Change and repair batteries and chargers; maintain records for parts usage.

Our Opportunity

At Chewy, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician III at our Fulfillment Center in Phoenix, AZ. This position is used for Preventative Maintenance of the facility conveyance system, fixing, repairing and maintaining warehouse equipment, rack repair & changes, working at heights, performing battery changes, housekeeping, plumbing, metal fabrication and carpentry. What You’ll Do

• Ensure that all equipment is operating accurately and safely.
• Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout our facility as assigned and according to schedule.
• Perform inspections of conveyor systems, air systems, shipping, packing equipment and building systems.
• Tasks may include plumbing, painting, rack repair, cleaning, general carpentry skills and metal fabrication.
• Change batteries and repair batteries and chargers as needed.
• Ability to investigate problems and fix various conveyor and packaging systems.
• Complete repair orders and parts usage records.
• Work in various seasonal climates.
• Follow our company policies and safety procedures.
• Ensure a safe work environment.

What You’ll Need

• 3- 5 years technical experience in Distribution or Manufacturing environment
• 480/3 phase electrical and low voltage AC/DC experience
• Experience with building systems such as fire suppression, air compressors, power distribution
• Understanding of PLCs and ladder logic
• Standard I/O device knowledge
• Conveyor experience preferred
• Mechanical experience
• Powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Windows/ PC experience
• HVAC knowledge
• Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience
• Ability to instruct and mentor others
• Ability to work nights, weekends and overtime.
